The castle dates back to about the 11th Century. In the 1990s, it served as the setting for a popular Austrian soap opera called "Schlosshotel Orth". It is now a nice little museum... you can wander around the labyrinth of rooms on the ground floor, and there is also a (pretty upscale) resturant.
