Five Hours in Miami

Five Hours in Miami

I'm doing a one day trip to Miami just to get miles so that I can have Premier status on United next year.

I'll be there for five hours. What's the quickest (and cheapest) way to get to South Beach so I can grab a quick bite and walk on the beach? I'd prefer not to rent a car. Any suggestions for a good meal?

check out Tap Tap. Its on the left side of the same road that the causeway brings you to Sout Beach on. It's haitian, has tasty food and good cocktails, and live music almost all the time.

The trip did end up taking me more than 24 hours as the weather was bad and I slept in the Charlotte airport.

I spent my five hours on the beach and then I grabbed an early dinner at a Cuban restaurant a few blocks from the beach. It was a great time. And now I have my very own preferred member United Plus card!
