Ask for a high floor. The 2 bed rooms have wrap around verandahs. They have views of the city, Story Bridge and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and the Gabba.( go the Mighty Lions )
In the 2bed, you need to ask for 2 singles for the 2nd room as all are double.
The package for breakfast is great. All you can eat in the ground floor Palletes Restaurant. The Smoked Salmon scrambled eggs are delicious.
Rooms service is not vast but nice. I was sick last time we were there, and the staff were most helpful. They sent up a big bowl of plain mashed potato. Nothing was too much for them.
Close to the Botanic Gardens ( opposite), for picnics or walks. Walk to the Pancake manor which is open 24 hours a day. Its in an old church, and has huge pancakes. The chocolate one is very very rich, I would suggest to be eaten by 2 people.
