Mama's - amazing brunch in North Beach. Go early and during the week to avoid the long lines. However, it is worth the wait so don't give up.

Ella's - in Laurel Heights. This can also have a line but they will give you a cup of coffee while you wait. I almost always end up having the hash special - sometimes chicken, sometimes pork. Delicious!
