The Villa Borghese district of Rome features a large green space in the northern part of the central city.
[edit] Get inYour tickets before hand--either call when you get to Rome or buy them online. Allow plenty of time to get from the metro to the museum - from the metro stop you can't see the museum and there are no signs, so it can take awhile to find (taxis can drop you off at the entrance to the park but you will still have to walk a bit from there). If you are late for your reservation the museum may not allow you to use your ticket. [edit] SeeEverything. The Galleria de Borghese located within the Villa Borghese, houses some of the finest art in the Western World. The Caravaggio paintings and Bernini sculptures can't be missed and shouldn't. If you've made it to Rome be sure to see this site. So many of the tourists I've spoken with didn't even know this place existed. [edit] Landmarks

[edit] DoBuy a guide and study it before you go. It will help you learn a great deal about the art collection so that you can spend your time admiring rather than learning. Rent the talking guide but don't use it like a treasure hunt and rush from room to room. Because your visit is timed, it will help keep you on pace so that you can view the entire museum. Pay attention to the seismographs situated throughout the villa. [edit] Buy[edit] Eat[edit] Drink[edit] Sleep[edit] Budget[edit] Midrange[edit] Splurge
