Oodnadatta is a small town in South Australia.
[edit] Get inOodnadatta is situated around 200km from the Stuart Highway along the Oodnadatta Track. The track is unsealed, but the road to Oodnadatta is usually traversable by 2WD vehicle. [edit] Get aroundThe town itself is small enough to walk around. Parking is no problem either. [edit] SeeThe Ghan railway line used to pass through and stop in Oodnadatta. The railway line now bypasses the town but the old station is largely preserved and is a museum. [edit] Do[edit] Buy[edit] EatThe town provides a selection of both pub food and roadhouse food. You choose. [edit] DrinkThe nightlife in Oodnadatta won't keep you dancing all night, but you will have no problems getting a beer. [edit] SleepA selection of camping, caravan parks and basic motel accommodation exists. The Pink Roadhouse is a feature of the town, and offers accommodation, fuel, food, spare parts, and general advice. [edit] Get outDown the track a couple of hundred kilometres to William Creek and Lake Eyre, or up the track to the Stuart Highway at Marla and on to Alice Springs.
