[edit] Understand

Kangaroo Valley is a fully enclosed valley seated between the New South Wales South Coast and the Southern Highlands. It is an idyllic location, with a small town that offers a number of antique stores to browse. At the same time, please don't rely on the 'Kangaroo' part of the name: there's close to nothing related to kangaroos in this place, which, frankly speaking, doesn't make this place less beautiful.

[edit] Get in

From Sydney: (approx 150 km) take Eastern Distributor, then S Western Motorway/Freeway, then Hume Highway, then Old Hume Highway, then follow the signs to Fitzroy Falls - Kangaroo Valley is just 10+ km drive further the same road. Please be advised that some built-in GPS devices show Moss Vale Rd (Kangaroo Valley's main road) as Cambewarra Rd.

There are a couple of antique stores around town which sell various types of product. You may find some of them overly twee, but then again there are those who thrive on such shops.
