Hunan (湖南) is a province in central China, home of Mao Zedong.

• Changsha - Capital of Hunan.

• ShaoYang - A very beautiful country of southwest of Hunan.

• Zhu Zhou - An important industrial city in Hunan Province and one of the five busiest railway centers in Mainland China. This city is the second largest city in Hunan Province in terms of urban population, GNP and annual income per capita. The population of the whole area was 3.7 millions and the number of urban residents was 1 million (2005). It is the intersection of East-West & North-South railways and North-South & East-West Expressways as well. It takes 40 minutes drive from this city to Changsha Airport.

There are many good quality and key industrial products produced in this city, such as Electrical Locomotives, Motorcycles, Nonferrous Metals, Fertilizers, Chemicals and Cemented Carbide. Siemens, Yamaha, Mitsubishi and many other multinational companies have invested in Zhu Zhou. It has one national level Economic Development Zone and several provincial level development areas. Nowaday, companies with long-sight strategy started learning and developing their own technological barriers.

Zhuzhou has two universities which provide undergraduate and postgraduate education. Meanwhile, more than 15 technical institutes provide various training or education programs for companies' demand and high school graduates.

• Zhangjiajie - UNESCO World heritage. National GeoPark. Sandstone Peak Forest. Very special.
• Mount Heng - Or called Nan Yue. one of the five sacred mountains of Taoist China. Nan Yue Temple is nestled in the foothills of the mountain.
• Meishan Dragon Palace - One of the most beautiful karst caves in China. Nearby is an area of terrace named Ziquejie.
• Dongting Lake - the second biggest freshwater lake in China. And Yueyang pavilion, a famous pavilion in China.

Probably the best attraction in Hunan is the fabulous Wulingyuan mountain, a stunning sandstone karst landscape. Several cable cars shorten distances, and there are many hiking opportunities.

The Yangtze River cuts through the province of Hubei to the north, but is more scenic in Sichuan province to the west
