Buses on the route Sarandë-Gjirokastër(200 leke) stop hourly at the bottom of the hill. Buses and minibuses also go to Tirana (2000 leke).

It's a small town and can be walked around quite easily. Taxis are cheap. The centre of town to the bus station in a taxi costs 200 leke

• The castle at the top of the hill, 200 leke entrance. It's falling apart a bit but still fascinating to wander around. Also holds an exposition of Enver Hoxha's army's cannons.

• Old bazaar and historic tower homes characteristic of Ottoman-era cities.
