- Atlanta has a host of major attractions:
- CNN Center-Tour the headquarters of the cable news network
- World of Coca Cola-Tour the Coca Cola Factory (new tour opens on May 24, 2007)
- Georgia Aquarium The largest aquarium in the world with tens of thousands of animals in 8 million gallons of water. M-Su 9AM-6PM; $26.00 (adult); $19.50 (child age 3-12); $21.50 (senior age 55+).
- Centennial Olympic Park-Site of 1996 Summer Olympic Games
- Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site-Childhood home of famous civil rights leader
- Jimmy Carter Presidential Library-Library of 39th president
- Georgia State Capitol-large legislative building with golden dome
- Stone Mountain-Outside Atlanta, is a massive dome-shaped mountain with free saturday night laser shows and a cable car to the summit
- Undergroud Atlanta-Historic shopping district under Downtown Atlanta
- Savannah is a historic port city with antebellum mansions on oak and magnolia-lined streets
- Savannah is also known for ghost tours
- Coca cola was invented in Georgia so it is very popular
- Mint Julep is a combination of mint, bourbon, sugar and water popular in the South.

While growing less and less common, racial problems still exist.

Bordering Georgia to the south is Florida. Here you'll find miles and miles of beaches, along with theme parks in Orlando.
To the west, Alabama houses the Space and Rocket Center.
To the north, Tennessee and North Carolina share the Great Smoky Mountains. Tennessee is where you'll find Nashville and it's music related attractions, while North Carolina has the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain.
To the east, South Carolina has historic Charleston and the Hilton Head Island resort.
