Depoe Bay is a town on the Oregon Coast.

Depoe Bay is relatively easy to get to. If you are coming up from Newport, or southern coast cities continue to stay on HWY 101 until you reach Depoe Bay. For those college students from OSU, head out to Philomath and simply stay on HWY 34. This will lead you straight into Newport, next follow until you hit HWY 101, take a right and stay on 101 until you hit Depoe Bay.

If you don't mind walking in Depoe Bay, it is the best way to check out everything, but the main means of transportation is by car.

There is some great stuff to see in Depoe Bay. All the old and new shops that line HWY 101 are pretty cool to see. It gives you the feeling of a warm community. Whale watching in Depoe Bay is a very popular thing these days with about 95 percent of Oregonians watching whales from this town. There are whale watching observatories running up and down the Oregon coast. One of these whale wathcing observatories is located in Depoe Bay, right off on HWY 101. There are many viewpoints running up and down the coast as well. There are a handful in Depoe Bay, and these viewpoints offer extraodinary views of the Pacific Ocean. Lastly, there is always the beach. There are many miles of accessible coastline at Depoe Bay, and this is a definite must if you will be traveling to the coast.
