Jinotepe: Hotel Casa Mateo is a nice hotel with a Christian flavor, a few blocks northeast of the town center. Even if you are not staying in the hotel, take a walk up to the top floor for a good view of Jinotepe. Good restauraunt, high-end menu compared to most local restaurants.

Jinotepe: Hotel Casa Linda. http://www.vianica.com/hotels/237/la-casa-linda-guest-house . This is a backpacker-type place with dorm beds and single rooms. Breakfast usually included.

Diriamba: Farm homestay at Abundance Farm - abundancefarm.com - inexpensive, a taste of real Nicaragua. Half an hour in a country bus from Diriamba city center market.
