Drive Porto/Vila Real/Chaves main hihgway.Or take the bus or train. Note:The train runs to/from Amarante/Livração,along the beautiful Tãmega river valley.The train is slow,but the views are wonderful.(Livação is also connected to Porto/Regua/Pocinho[linha do Douro],another beautiful train line this one along the magnificent Douro valley.
